I just moved to Triple J road in October because we love the quietness and privacy. The night sky is fine the way it is. I don't want this in my backyard!

There will be a lettuce grower in the County. How is that appalling? Should it go in the town? What research do you have showing that the community will be affected? I will be looking forward to seeing it Jean.

I am appalled that our small, close-knit, agricultural county is considering allowing an industrial corporation to establish itself here. Not only will the light pollution drive down property values and the beauty of the area, but the truck traffic on our small, already heavily traveled country road (Senseny) will be damaging and pollute the air and water. And let’s not forget the dangerous and far-reaching effects that the large volume of water consumption will have on our land and water. This is not agriculture land use in the sense that it was intended for this area. You can believe we will do whatever needed to fight this atrocity from being established here. This is horrifying, especially having grown up here, and returning to the family farm to raise our family in a “safe” county setting.

I say NO to this factory or any other in the county area. I have been a law biding citizen of Clarke county since 1993. I once heard that Clarke county would be a central park of beautiful land for the east coast, like central park NY. is for the city of New York. I believe that to be so already.
This factory would only benefit the unknown entity and not the locals. It would probably decrease the land values in that vicinity. It could also start a domino effect for these type of factories.
Please let us keep Clarke County CLEAN and GREEN. Thank you,

I moved to Clarke County from NoVA to enjoy the smaller, rural community Clarke offers. I have not yet seen any kind of environmental, community, or economic impact statements regarding the proposed factory issued by either Clarke County or the prospective applicant itself. In an era where sustainable, organic food demands are outpacing that of mass-produced GMO crops, I am hopeful that the county recognizes that the land could better be used to support local agriculture or agritourism entrepreneurs.

I take Senseny Rd almost every time I go into Winchester. Partly because it's shorter but mainly because of the beautiful views, no matter what the season , for me , it's a magical place where mother nature never fails to surprise me. To mar that with any kind of factory which also means trucks and widing the roads and changing the tax base status and zoning to commercial is a travesty.
