I live at 4378 Senseny Road. This factory will be the view from my front porch. Would you want it to be yours? Don't allow this industrial operation! It will absolutely ruin the country life we are desperately trying to preserve.

I stand behind Mr. Duncan - NO Lettuce Factory. I have my reservations about if this is really a Lettuce Factory - With recent developments I would wonder if this is not a Marijuana greenhouse? anyway NO LETTUCE FACTORY !!!

I do not believe hydroponics are a sustainable method of farming, nor do I believe they are a viable substitute for organics.

Just read George Ohrstrom II's letter published recently in the Winchester Star. He's absolutely correct re: state level regulations and limits on county level efforts to protect our landscape. Thank you Richmond reps for encouraging the construction of "large, unusual or intensive ag operations" such as the two or possibly three butt ugly 10 acre well water-sucking lettuce factories in the middle of Clarke County's farming community.

Ground water is a precious resource, and this monstrosity would evidently put that resource at risk for all of us in the vicinity. Will they reimburse for newer, deeper wells for all those affected? I doubt it.
In addition, the light pollution would likely dramatically alter the night sky, due to refracted light.

Light pollution is a problem for migrating birds... we don't need to farm food 24 hours a day. Grow lettuce in the ground.
