More than disappointing. Poor use of our tax dollars and school resources. CCSD is doing a disservice to our RB 4th graders (and has for 4 years).

Our children are not meeting their potential. Test scores are not rising as expected. As mentioned by others, there have been many incidents that have caused distress and distraction to the students. Smaller class sizes will promote student and teacher focus and will help remedy some of these issues.

I have been informed by school officials that the rising 4th Grade class is unruly. I was also informed that this class is less mature than prior classes, and has had significantly more incidents. This is likely directly related to the lack of priority and attention provided to these students, who are being sacrificed. This should be remedied.

Please reconsider this for my incoming 3rd grader. He would greatly benefit from a smaller class.

It’s not fair for RBS to have the biggest 4th grade class size, and it’s also not equitable. This particular cohort needs more teacher attention, both academically and socially, not less.

How is this decision socially, emotionally and academically good for the incoming 4th grade? Very disappointed in this reactive action due to the SRO topic which should have been addressed before the budget passed as urged by parents in the district in board meetings.

We didn’t move to Chappaqua for this kind of chipping away at the quality of our kids’ education. Class size is crucial and we need to insist on preserving the conditions that we pay for and that our kids deserve.

This is unacceptable. The third grade class at RB has already had MANY issues. It’s not fair to expect the teachers to teach under these circumstance s

Not happy as it is not fair that other schools have lower ratio compared to RB. The ratio should be equal for all schools.

Class size is super important - especially with the taxes we pay. I will not be happy with this new student teacher ratio.
