This is so silly! Don’t need 1:another coffee shop in town and 2: this would destroy mom and pop shops and unique coffee shops in town. 3rd: they would close in 2 years just like BK!

Pella has enough great locally owed coffee. Why bring in the corporate McDonald’s of coffee to take away from our unique community. If I wanted all the same things every other town has and not have anything special to encourage tourism I would live in a boring cookie cutter town and not Pella.

I’m afraid a big corporation like Starbucks will force small businesses to close. I’d rather support The Perk and the employees that work there, or Smokey row that my family members built from the ground up. Iris coffee and the Brew. We do not need a Starbucks!

Pella has enough chains already and they detract from the local charm and businesses this place has to offer. Not to mention, there are at least four places I can pick up a great cup of coffee already in this town, all of which are locally managed and/or owned. This would kill a significant chunk of their business. How about encouraging more local entrepreneurship for another mid scale restaurant, preferably something exotic?
