Although, I don't live in Pella my live and work there. I appreciate the local charm and minimal chains of business. I hope the leaders remember why people travel to Pella, it is it's local charm.

Pella has great LOCAL coffee shops, don’t put them in jeopardy by bringing in a chain with sub par coffee.

I support LOCALLY owned small businesses moreso that the idea of chain restaurants or shops opening in a town where it's already a challenge to find and keep employees. "More and bigger" isn't better in this town and locals here are proven fairweather supporters to places too far from the square...look at the bowling alley, smash park, burger King, axe throwing, dutchfix out off washington etc. This town doesn't need more business competition taking away from the ones that are trying to stay afloat as it is.

Makes no sense to bring in a coffee shop like Starbucks. Will only hurt local businesses

I love the Pella charm, and I regularly visit the local coffee shops when I visit. Having a Starbucks in Pella would serious harm to all of those locally owned businesses. I purposely try to avoid Starbucks at all times, and support my locally owned coffee shops - wherever I go.

I know Pella wants to be up & coming, but please don’t lose your roots!!
Starbucks does not support Christmas/Christ, they do however pay for gender reassignment for their employees…. This is NOT what MY Hometown would Support! But maybe Pella is not the Christian community they used to be or that they want to try to portray while being “up & coming.”
It saddens me to see what appears to be happening there.
