As a resident of the Kingswood community, with a St. George BLVD address, I am strongly opposed to the installation of ANY SPEED TABLES on this main arterial access road into and out of this neighborhood. As a resident who respects the laws of this province, and is a contributing member of our community who operates multiple vehicles commuting at least twice per day and often more on this BLVD., I am OPPOSED to this traffic calming measure. Wear and tear of residents' vehicles, emergency vehicle response time, and snow clearing in winter, are all valid concerns. I advocate for more stop signs, police speed monitoring, and hefty fines for abusers of any of our main arterial roadways and side streets.
I willingly add my name and St George Blvd civic address to this petition so that it may give me and all opponents to this plan a chance to have this plan reviewed and cancelled.

I have been reviewing the feedback regarding the proposed construction plans on our street. Many residents share the same concerns about how these changes will affect our daily commute and the maintenance of our vehicles. I am currently preparing to present our collective position to the local planning department.

The momentum behind this effort has shifted from a neighbors conversation into a clear mandate for the city to reconsider their plans for our road. It is heartening to see how many people share the same concerns regarding emergency access and vehicle maintenance.

There are other solutions to this, especially since there is evidence that speed tables slow emergency services. Why not put all way stops at intersections or the modified humps that allow emergency vehicles through without having to slowdown.
I am not in favor of speed humps - speed humps adversely affect the residents more than the speeders - the vast majority of speeders on SGB that I have witnessed are non residents - ie, dump trucks, delivery and service vehicles
I have lived on Kingswood Drive for 22 years and feel speed bumps have ruined the neighborhood. We don’t need more regulation. How about using the speed bump budget for fixing the roads and putting sidewalks in instead?
Lived here for 25 years. Live on the backside of St George. This will definitely impact my life and concerns me with the slow downed response time of emergency vehicles. There should be stop signs or some other means of controlling traffic.
St George Blvd is my only way in and out of the community and will directly impact my daily commute, wear and tear on my vehicle, as well as community safety for delayed emergency response times.
Creating solutions for problems that don't exist is not a solution. Just stop.
Currently we are unable to drive the speed limit without damaging our vehicles because of a few people who like to walk in the middle of the road and expect vehicles to stop for them. Common sense and looking both ways would be more effective than turning a complete neighbourhood into a parking lot. Speed bumps do not stop speeding...they only inconvenience the rest of us. There will always be speeding as long as there are drivers. Speed bumps for a few complainers is a waste of taxpayer money, makes responsible drivers have to drive as though they are in a parking lot for 10min which should take 5. On a street which often is covered in black ice in colder weather now having large bumps is also irresponsible and frankly pathetic. Try a vote on these matters. Bubblewrapping society never helps.

They don't work! They only slow speeds at the humps. Bad for the environment having to slow down and speed up causing increased fuel consumption. Hard on vehicles, equipment and snow removal. Poorly placed at the bottoms of some of the steepest, longest and most difficult hills to go up in the winter time (no momentum).
