My experience has been with many deer hunters in my family. It's always provided each of them a respect for the deer, nature and themselves. I gladly sign the petition ! Betty Clark

Please stop section 14, this is not good for the conservationists and hunters in the state.

It's a way of life around here. Every time we turn around some one some where is constantly trying to inflict our rights in one way or another.

Please give your full attention to this issue. Although hard to do, we must at times give more concern and attention to the common good rather than that of individuals.

Section 14 should be taken out of this bill due to protection of our natural herds. I have seen the best of fences destroyed due to natural causes, floods, tornadoes and forest fires, allowing non domestic animals to roam.

No to deer farming

Gov. McCrory, I am a lifetime Licensed Sportsman who enjoys all aspects of the outdoors. I am an avid conservationist and am heavily involved in Land Conservation and Wildlife management activities in the Piedmont of NC. I am writing to ask you to strike Section 14 of Senate Bill 513 and reaffirm North Carolinas prohibition of Deer farming. There are many ethical reasons to abolish Deer farming. Any alleged economic benefit is limited to those who proclaim ownership and management capabilities to "minimize" the biological impact to the deer herd in NC. Let me speak plainly...there is NO biological benefit to deer farming. Wildlife does NOT benefit. The people of North Carolina do not benefit financially...only those that own the existing and proposed deer farms benefit. The proposed small licensing and taxation costs of this deer farming wills stand as evidence of North Carolina's legislative failure in Wildlife Management if this Bill is passed.
