Please veto this bill. WE don't need the problems (Chronic Wasting Disease) that will be created by deer farming.

Governor McCrory, I urge you to veto this bill. It is not in the best interest of the NC wildlife resource nor is it in the best interest of the NC Sportsmen. You were elected to do what is best for all of North Carolina, not just a few, who for profit alone will destroy this resource. The facts from research support what I am saying.

The state should go ahead and prepare for CWD disease to enter the state, because this action will certainly guarantee that it will come into the state. Such "backdoor" manipulation of the law making process by both political parties is a major reason that law making bodies and both political parties are so popular with the public.

Deer are wild animals. They shouldn't be farmed, kept in fenced in areas, etc.

Our wildlife needs to remain wild and only thinned to reduce over population, being raised in pens just to be shot while being held captive is inhumane

"Trick" legislation very unfair to NC residents, especially on such a really serious wildlife issue. Please veto to send it back to proper process. Thank you.

Governor McCrory,
I have sent e-mails expressing my opposition to increasing permits for deer farms in NC and removing the jurisdiction and enforcement of existing deer farms from the NCWRC to the NC Dept of Ag by way of "Farm Bill" SB513 Section 14. I have e-mailed Dept of Ag Steve Troxler, Speaker of the House of Rep. Tim Moore, and my District House of Rep. Jacqueline Schaeffer, and the members of the NCWRC and have not received any response or feedback. , I am asking you as governor to stop this bill dead in its tracks in order to prevent deer farming from getting a larger toehold in NC. Your opposition to this bill would protect our natural Whitetail Deer population from the spread of disease, such as Chronic Wasting Disease. This bill is being opposed by the National Wildlife Federation and the Camo Coalition, the Quality Deer Management Assoc., the NC Bowhunter Assoc,, NC Farm Bureau, and the vast majority of NC deer hunters just to name a few. I strongly urge you to prevent and stop this special interest bill from being passed for the benefit of a very small select few.
Respectfully,
Don Williamson
