Between this bill on deer fastening and the continuing assault on our marine resources, one has to wonder where the Republican party that gave us the the Clean Air and Clean Water acts had disappeared to.
It is embarrassing and you will see the Republican party lose favor in NC over something as simple s letting good fishing become bad.

This the most rotten political deal that I have experienced in the last 40 years. A total give away of our renewable natural resources. How can our NCWRC voice opposition when they are held hostage by legislative members who control their operating budget? This will open the door to CWD into our state. Just look at other states who are experiencing this very problem. Please veto this bill.

NC had no business in dealing with deer farming. This fosters CWD and the traditional hunters do not want to take that risk with our natural resources. Stop worry about making money and focus on tradition.

Every state allowing deer farming is also a breeding ground for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) at these farms. CWD has spread to each of these states wild deer population and ultimately across state lines. We definitely do not need deer farming in NC, our wild deer population is healthy but not for long if deer farming is allowed in NC.

It's a travesty that other bills were passed specifically forbidding the introduction of outside cervids to the state, and then back door legislation lets them in because of what appears to be very clear political hob-knobbery. Whatever happen to what the people want?

The introduction of deer raised as livestock is not a sensible plan in North Carolina or anywhere else for that matter. Whether moneyed or not, the sponsors ultimately have little if any control over spillover effects to the wild deer population in the long run.

How can so many elected officials allow such illegal activity to continue and now to put the NC deer herd in jeopardy , the financial impact of hunting and tradition at risk for the financial benefit of so few. Elections are just around the corner--we will remember and vote accordingly.

CWD has been traced to Deer Pens which if breached transmits to native wild deer. The deer hunting generates hundreds of millions of dollars to NC and ten thousands of hunters. All could stop if CWD gets to NC, This is science not politics. Please veto S-513
