Of course the name should be retained. Raymond McCreesh was a distinguished republican in this area and people here have every right to name their park after him. What about Bagnalls Castle, the Albert Basin, Rostrevor? All named after British royal or military figures, will they be renamed?

ray is a hero, there is not too many who would hunger and thirst for every child of all cultures
What's that Declan, that bloodsoaked flower, soaked in the blood of thousands of brave Irishmen and woman, in the blood of brave martyrs such as Raymond McCreesh? that bloodsoaked flower symbolises all that colonial, imperialistic british tyranny stands for. Keep this park named as it is, how many streets, towns etc are named after murderous loyalists? this is another futile attempt instagated by the Capitalist tyrannical brits to crush our identity, not on!!!!!
Let us remember our fallen dead!
Rip Raymond mc Creesh.
