Why shouldn't it be called after local heroes. newry is steeped in history and Raymond mc creesh deserves to be remembered I vote to keep the name.

Crazy that unionists are up in arms about this when parts of Belfast and the law courts are named after Arthur Chichester,the worst tyrant to set his foot on irish soil. He made Cromwell look like a primary school teacher!! I could name lots more tyrants who have streets named after them,but whats the point? Unionist/loyalist ignorance is not for changing!! As Beehan once said " How does one define a terrorist? easy, he's the one with the small bomb!!"

why should the name of be changed its always been that name ppl r only annoyed coz of the union flag it would be better to fly both flags then we could all be happy but some may not keep then name of the park it should never be changed to suit other ppl
