We shouldn't have to re-sit the exams because we have already sat similar ones and this will have no effect on how well we do in our GCSE's

I do not agree with the situation you have put the recent year 10's in as this is unfair and the school should at least take half a responsibility for the fails, as the teachers are the ones teaching and the students are the ones learning. This only adds more stress to students lives while you are unaware of what they may be going through, these students need this time to relax and congratulate themselves for making it through another school year - not to dread year 11 and add stress to what is meant to be a 'care free' holiday. Think about how this makes your school look.

To be quite honest I've been frustrated with the schools obvious lack of organisation in the lead up to exams. They moved them back "to give us more time to revise" but it was clearly because one poor science group didn't have the basic understanding of chemistry due to not having a proper teacher for months in an important gcse year which I find dispicable as this will no doubt affect their final grade as all of the knowledge couldn't have possibly formulated in the extra lessons (which resulted in them misssing other lessons to go to). And one physics group lacked a good teacher and had to also catch up, leaving a huge gap in their understanding too. The exams being pushed back meant that everything came at once:- rewards trips, work experience, Dofe and the preparation for it, not to mention tiredness towards the end of the year and frustration with the fact exams still weren't done as they should have been ages ago. For these reasons, students didn't perform as well as they should have. Summer holidays are meant for relaxation and are the last proper stressfree break we will have before the work for GCSEs begins piling up again and preparation for mocks etc. I respect your efforts to help those who didn't do well a second chance but I think for students like myself who revised lots and are satisfied with their marks in the end of years, it is ridiculous to expect us to repeat the tedious exam process again. Surely you can see where I'm coming from with this.

It's unfair how they force us to re sit these exams when they can't even teach us.

It's completely wrong that we should resist exams due to so called lack of effort when it clearly the fact that we haven't had a chemistry teacher all year the science department is a mess and is just trying to cover up its own mistakes a lack of teachers and they have the audacity to say it's due to lack of effort which clearly isn't true. If the whole year has to resist it due to lack of effort does this mean that over 200 people haven't put enough effort in or is It the truth that there covering up mistakes I think anyone with a brain knows which one it is and finally if it is due to our disgusting lack of effort why are our teachers telling us that the exams are the same and to learn the answers to the questions and we won't have to resist them so basically when we cheat at them it will give a false reading.

The whole new GCSE system has kind of backfired. We need to revert back to the old style exams. Vive la revolution!

I think it's wrong that we have to re-sit some of our exams. Clearly with the amount of low results the year got on these exams, it is not the students fault but the teachers as we did not know enough to pass the exam.
