It's a double burden on an already poor nations . A public servant working 8 hours a day can never be able to pay this withs such a small salary. This is telling them to be corrupt to fulfil this new additional expense

We have to pay $1,200,000 to clear a vehicle that cost $600,000. That should include free parking for life!

Utter madness. If we must have a metered system then the rates have to be much lower and irrealistic fines must be removed. If one overspends time then there must be opportunity to pay for the extra time.
For now I say NO to this system.
They will try to wait us out and make a living from fines.
Government must take control.

Its is ridiculous that the City of Georgetown installed parking meter system that burdens Guyanese working class 37% of their salary. and where 80% of the gross revenue goes to an oversea owned company.
