The lack of transparency and details of this project leaves me to believe its not in the best interest of Va beach residents.

We need wind farms not oil drilling. We are currently able to eat our seafood and swim in our ocean...Don't let them mess this up like they have the Gulf of Mexico! VIRGINIANS DON'T WANT THIS SO WHY ARE OUR POLITICIANS SELLING US OUT?

Keep our ocean clean. No more oil. Clean energy only. Don't poison our children. Stop being persuaded by big oil and putting the health and safety of our citizens, our ocean, and all the wildlife at risk for this FAILED source of energy.

I couldn't believe my ears when I learned Virginia is considering offshore drilling. As a resident of Va. Beach, I am very opposed to it. Our economy is dependent on tourism and one mishap would destroy that income. Besides, the rest of the world is moving away from fossil fuels and going to renewable energy. Why are we not focused on wind energy off our coast, rather than dirty fossil fuels? Please move us forward with clean energy and don't invest in offshore drilling. The risk is NOT worth the reward.

Drilling means spills. You know that it will happen sooner or later and will be devastating to VB as a resort area, Develop offshore wind farms instead.
