Dear City of Miami: I strongly oppose the current plans for the North Pole restoration at Virginia Key in Miami. The plan is not clear, the involved private parties do not have enough funding to complete a proper restoration program nor do they have enough funding for post maintenance of the newly replanted areas, which is absolutely needed in order to guarantee the best survival and balance of the affected areas. I want the City of Miami to stop the removal of the Australian Pines immediately until enough funding and further environmental studies are made. As a tax payer I would rather have the Grant money given to the Museum of Science used to finish the reforestation projects on other parts of Virginia Key were previous removal of Australian pines has been done yet nothing planted.
