This is a very short sighted proposal that is going to have a devastating impact on small businesses in Canada.

The Real Estate Market is just now, after three years of flat lining, returning to some sense of normalcy ( not referring to Toronto and Vancouver). REALTORS, investors, and the spin off job influence, do not need another "stall" .

Typical government, they promise you everything under the sun to get elected and then you get something totally different when they are in office. Seems like every time you turn around they are coming up with different ways to pull more hard earned money out of the pockets of already struggling Canadians to the benefit of no one but an already broken political system so out of touch with the average Canadian family. It is truly saddening :(

This is legislation that will be devastating for the hardest-working Canadians who are creating the most jobs, and taking huge personal risk to do so. We MUST stop this.

This is the worst piece of proposed tax legislation I have ever seen !. It's shameful it is even being considered never mind how it has been pitched by the Liberals in an class warfare kind of way. The "closing of loopholes" and "taxing the rich" and "fairness". The current legislation is over 40 years old and was set up to encourage people to be owners, not employees. Suggesting those that create jobs and take significant risks or have no backstop by working independently in small business should be on a level "playing field" with employees is rediculous . The situations are totally different. Do small business owners have a pension that pays 3:1 - no ; do most have CCP, Employment Insurance, paid sick days, paid vacation days etc? - NO !. Small business job creators should be treated differently than employees because their situation is very different. Not everyone can work for the government Mr. Trudeau !. Oh and by the way, you promised to support small business when running for office and yet you do a complete 180 doing the opposite. Shameful ! You said you felt the tax code needed to be simplified, yet you complicate the hell out of it with this legislation. I mean really, having tests to determine the eligibility to sprinkle money to a supporting spouse who stays home while I work 70 hours a week. The cost and application of such a policy will be tested in the courts for decades and likely cost more to administer than what will be collected. Anyone recall the gun registry?. And by the way, a wife or husband that stays at home should be paid by the small business because they are the mechanism that allows everything to work. Without them the business crumbles. I could go on forever why this is bad legislation but this issue really isn't about "fairness " or the piddly 250 million you expect to collect in revenue; its about the Liberals moving left to steal a chunk of the NDP vote in order to assure their re-election - sure you"ll loose votes

This is outrageous! This Government continues to show its incompetence to run this great country! Only concerned about big corporations and his own agenda! Good luck on your 1 term mandate!

I think that the growth of the country is based on small business. There are great breaks for the large companies so we should not take away opportunities for the small business as they need that to survive in our ever changing economy
