As a previous student of Brandywine Elementary School, with him as my gym teacher, I can verify the horror he inflicted upon my life. The nightmares he caused has replayed in my mind to this very day. He not only called me fat and unwanted but also spurred and supported the other classmates to make fun of me, call me fat, and call me ugly.. Due to this horror sinking in during my entire elementary school time with him as the "gym teacher" affected my life to this very day. Because of the mental anguish he caused I developed Anorexia and Exercise Bulimia and to this day I suffer from body dysmorphic disorder along with constant suicidal thoughts due to the issues he contributed to at such a young and impressionable age. You never know what "words" or "comments" can affect a fragile and young mind, perhaps for life. I know in my case it did and does.

Under no circumstances should parents have to deal with this issue. It shows a complete disregard by the principal Lawless and the superintendent for the children in the DASD. Subsequently, their resignations should be requested as well as this teacher's. Anyone who pays thousands of dollars in taxes each year, 100% has a say and a voice in who teaches their children and the children of the district and who is hired to represent them. Period.

Having to have a supervisor to monitor a teacher shows me you don’t have trust in that said teacher. If you don’t have trust then I don’t have trust in that school district for the safety of my child. If a teacher is not above reproach then they should not be teaching.

We moved across the country last year but my son attended BC prior to our move. I’m disgusted that this is even a real thing. Protect those kids. Do not let this “teacher” on school grounds. I expect more from the DASD school district.

I’ve made my own confirmations with former students that this behavior occurred regularly from him. While you can’t go back in time for those students to report it, you CAN prevent this systematic behavior from continuing.
