An absolute disgrace, putting this where there are so many houses and a hotel, I’m sure they will lose thousands n thousands because of this, and I don’t fancy smelling this every single day where I won’t be able to open my windows to air my house out

I strongly object to the giant waste water treatment plant being build in Clonshaugh ! I believe the plant will seriously affect the quality of life of not only people living in the area but also other Dublin residents. Portmarnock beach, near which the waste is planned to be pumped to, is a popular destination for many people living in the neighborhood as well as those living in the city centre. In fact I chose to buy my house in Clongriffin due to its proximity to the Portmarnock beach. I have moved to the area only recently but I visited Portmarnock beach long before and it was always busy with families enjoying their Sundays by the seaside, children playing at the beach, local teenagers playing volleyball at the beach, the elderly enjoying walks along the coastline. And this all is going to be destroyed. In addition, the gases produced by the plant will be a health hazard to all people living in the nearby areas. I live at Belltree Ave and want my kids to have quality of life.

I think this sort of development should be further inland rather than where it can easily be fed into the sea, particularly Dublin bay, with many local users of the coast, international visitors and vast array of wildlife.

Disgraceful that Government want to put this up in Dublin right beside homes/buisness. Can you image if an accident happened on the motorway up to Clonshaugh, I understand why Meath/Lusk & Ratoath hace objected to this but surely there a better site then right beside peoples homes and shame on you Irish Water pumping it into the Irish Sea on one of our Blue Flag Beaches and you have a cheek to have water restrictions until October...
