I wasn’t raised to think I would get free housing if I committed a crime, did drugs, didn’t have a job, didn’t contribute to society. Why are we giving anything away free? Helping them is empowering them. Provide assistance to come clean, commit no offenses, get an education, get a job, do not do drugs, earn your home. Stats show 80% of homeless are those I described. 20% good citizens, let’s ensble them and empower them to earn housing. Hand outs is not a solution. And not near children.

Good idea but Wrong place . The suggested location is indeed too close to many young children and students of the nearby schools and facilities. Parents of all ages of the children will feel unsafe and nervous , thus may create long term (5-10 years ) negative consequences in that unwelcoming environment.

We were told this was an emergency decision due to winter. There’s something called planning ahead. Were they not aware a year ago that winter comes every year? They could have informed and consulted the community far in advance before making this dictator-like decision. Don’t tell me it’s an emergency decision. That’s a BS excuse for your failure to plan ahead.

Gregor Robertson is bullying the residents again. It started with the bike lane, then the unwanted sidewalks, and now the modular housing at the wrong location. All these are done without consultations, discussions, and public inputs. Enough is enough, listen to the people!

This development should be closer to transit and further from elementary schools. Sure, the highschool kids are all for it, but it's the younger kids who are more vulnerable.

It’s our duty to let our children grow up in a healthy and safe environment.
Why not built some shelters in remote villages for those homeless or let some of them work on farms?
We must lower our speed to 30 when passing School Zone to protect our children because children are so important. Building Modular House near school zone is more dangerous than driving overspeed in school zone. It will be unforgivable if it do .
