I oppose the blatant attempt to lure young students with poor quality food which is detrimental to their development. It goes against all efforts to ensure access to better quality food.

MCDs would be a blight on that beautiful park- an ugly, unwelcome parasite, a reminder of all the unpleasant things in the word that drive you to find scape in a park in the first place.

Tervuren was vol charme, het is even lelijk als zaventem aan het worden met de zo genoemd « modernisatie ». Er is een reden waarom Parijs zo veel stijl heeft. Daar weigeren ze gebouwen met « cachet » te vernietigen en moderne big blocks te bouwen. Mischien is het al te laat...

Shocking corporate attitude for McDonald's to open an outlet in the vicinity of 4 schools and that gem of a park in Tervuren. So wrong on many fronts, but what immediately comes to mind is child obesity & additional risk to pedestrians due to increased traffic.

It's frankly shocking the idea of Tervuren opening a McDonald's close to schools and to a park. Tervuren should be setting the example and working to encourage children to eat healthily and should be protecting the park and not allowing such a company cover it with rubbish. And the traffic in the area is already problematic. No to McDonald's.

I was shocked to discover that a McDonald’s is being considered to built in this location, close to 2 schools. I am concerned about childhood obesity and having a fastfood outlet, so close to a school, is going in the wrong direction. Sadly, a McDonald’s would encourage children not to make healthy choices. Environmentally, there are many negative impacts too: litter (esp in Tervuren Park), increased traffic in an already highly congested area.

Volledig in tegenstrijd met zowel gemeentelijk structuurplan (« Wonen krijgt prioriteit », « autogenererende bedrijvigheid dient afgebouwd », « beter imago van de Leuvensesteenweg », « geen nieuwe horecavoorzieningen in de omgeving van het museum ») als mobiliteitsplan (« weren van baan winkels »).
