Governor Herbert finally backed down and ended the mask mandate for our children. We forced them to listen and give the power back to parents where it belongs. Stay vigilant because we will not let them overstep like this ever again.

As parents, grandparents and people who care about our children and don't agree, based on science, that our children pose any threat to our well being and the spread of the covid-19 virus we ask you to rescind, the state wide mandatory wearing of masks for school children. The welfare of our children should always be handled by their parents working with their local educators. Given that the experts don't agree on the threat of children spreading the virus and the efficacy of their wearing masks, we feel it is wrong to subject very young children to the social, emotional, and physical damage that is proven to be especially harmful to young children. The threat has not be proven and until you can prove that a child is a threat, you have no rights in mandating that a parent treat that child like a threat or that the child be made to feel like a threat. We respectfully ask you to leave the decision making to the parents who can work with their local educators..

Governor Herbert is ignoring us while our kids suffer under these useless mandates. Get this in front of anyone who will listen because we need to hit our next goal before he continues to dismiss our parental rights.

please be a governor and not a ruler masks for children is totally unnecessary. The data does not support masks for kids less than 50 kids in the United States have died from Covid they aren’t carriers they are transmitters. No masks for kids!
Governor Herbert, please do not make masks mandatory for any reason. It is an infringement on my civil liberties and a violation of you office. The masks will also do very little to curb Covid. Thank you for your consideration.
Science has proven, and pediatricians have stated that children have zero chance of dying from this virus. Also you have no authority under the Utah Constitution, nor the Constitution For the United States to mandate the wearing of masks.
Please reconsider the mandate. There is not sufficient evidence supporting the need for children to wear masks. The psychological and social-emotional risks they face by wearing masks far outweigh any evidence of children being significant drivers of covid spread.
it is not safe for children to wear masks all day. Plus have you ever know a child to leave something like that alone? They would be touching and playing with it all day. What kind of learning atmosphere is that for our children and teachers?

I more concerned of the mental and emotional effect of the damage this will cauze...which can have lasting effects. Also, how will teachers be able to read those children's faces to know if they understand or not. So much more harmful than good
