Want an influx of traffic, a parking lot full of cars, and a large company picnic being held on Schoettler Rd? If NO, then please sign this petition.

PLEASE HAVE EACH PERSON IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD SIGN THIS PETITION. WE NEED TO LET THE PARKS DEPARTMENT AND CITY COUNCIL KNOW THAT WE WANT TO PRESERVE SCHOETTLER AND NOT ALLOW IT TO BECOME A PLACE TO HOST PARTIES AND COMPANY PICNICS.

1. Preserve Schoettler. Schoettler Rd is a quiet, nature filled road that is not the appropriate place for a large (65 person) pavilion that will be rented out for parties. Schoettler Rd and Logan Park are not the place for company picnics and large graduation and birthday parties. This would bring noise and significant traffic to an otherwise peaceful area.

2. No Large Pavilions. Logan Park is supposed to be a neighborhood park. A pavilion, if built, should serve as a shelter and place to gather and eat for small groups of people using the park on a daily basis. There should be no "party pavilion" in this park. We do not support the size of the pavilion (65 person) being built in this park.

3. Restrict Pavilion Rentals. For any type of pavilion built in this park, we do not support the pavilion being used for rentals on a daily basis. Rentals should be restricted to once per month in the park and there should be a strict limit on the number of people allowed in the pavilion (no more than 25).

4. Citizen Input Matters! It is unfortunate that Logan Park is being built without any input from the surrounding neighborhoods. The beautiful parcel of land is in the middle of a residential district and the input of residents should be considered when determining what is appropriate and desired for this new park. Stop construction until there is a community information gathering session, similar to what was done for Central Park. Residents deserve to have input.
