  • A Service station is not permitted use under the Glen Ellyn C2 Community Commercial Zoning.
  • Increases traffic congestion and impairs safety for motorists and Forest Glen Elementary pedestrians.
  • 12 pump Shell station will be open 24/7 with bright lighting.
  • Environmental concerns such as a potential oil tank leaks, air pollution, cutting down of trees and air quality.
  • There are 8 gas stations within 4 miles of this location.
  • There are 2 convenience stores on the same block.
  • Does not align with the proposed Village Plans to maintain the location as the Historic Gateway of Glen Ellyn.

    No to gas station! There's already a gas station down the road. We don't need another. Especially one that sells liquor and is in close proximity to Forest Glen!

    A gas station of this size does not belong in this residential location, especially so close to an elementary school. To ignore the past environmental impact and the increased danger to our young children walking to school is irresponsible.
