As I pay for my two children to go to college, I am outraged that my tax dollars would be used to give a free education to those who are in prison.

I have an uncle in prison and they have top many rights as it is! they broke the law and have more given to them than I do!!

Please do not move forward with this plan, It is hard enough to fathom the hard working people who cannot afford to pay for their own or their kids education, why would you even think of footing the bill for anyone who has broken the law

I say NO to college courses for inmates! Take that money and fund our public schools that can't make State Mandates and are forced to cut programs like art, music, library, sports & kindergarten!

why should decent people who have followed the rules have to take out loans, and get nothing, while inmates have a free college education handed to them---anyway, Gov Cuomo, you said crime is down--now you say recidivism is a problem--hmmm...

I can understand giving prisoners literacy, GED and job training, but a free college education is rewarding bad behavior. Many hard working parents and students save and sacrifice for a college education. Many are unaable to finish their degrees because they run out of funds. No free tuition for prisoners!!!

This plan is not fair, across the board. First of all, they did the crime, they should pay the time. Secondly, they should not have "free" hand outs while hard working people can't even afford college to begin with. I could rant on and on about how I do not want my tax paying dollards going toward such an abusrd plan that doesn't benefit NY Statae as a whole. Perhaps take all this money you want to invest in the plan and put it towards our elementary, middle schools and high schools.

Not right they get a Free ticket to College and We have to Pay!! You can try to rehabilatate with giving them skills, and make them feel good about themselves and hope they will leave and try to be Productive in life

Trust me when I tell you these inmates get way to much already. A good number already suck up resources that honest hard working members of society should get. First strip us of our right to protect ourselves then make the criminals smarter so they can victimize the poor defenseless commoner. Nice
