Iremember when cons did get a free college education - as many degrees as they wanted in whatever they could think up, whether or not they would ever be released -a ridiculous waste of money then and now! They got away with it then because ordinary taxpayers didn't know about it - don't let that happen again!

As a graduate that is still having a hard time paying off my loans, this is a kick in the face! I work super hard to be a good citizen and I teach young children to do the same. Why not take that money and put it into lowering loan payments or helping future college students?? this is ridiculous!

Another NY SCAM ~ Look at how much Lottery monies actually get back to our schools as promised. How many families in NY are struggling with school loan debts. And finally look at how much money the Fed makes off these high interest school loans.Then ask again why the Hell would I consider to support paying for CONVICTS education when we already feed and house them with all the other amenities.

It is so wrong to give those who break the law a free ride to college when there are so many law abiding citizens who have to go into debt to get a higher education!!! I'm not wealthy enough to pay their way but I was told I make too much to get help for them. It's so unfair. When they graduated from college they are having trouble finding a job in their field because of the job market being so bad. Is Gov Cuomo planning on giving them top priority in the job market also? None of this would be fair. The problem needs to be addressed to keep them out of prison not reward them for being there!!! Gov Cuomo is rich and could afford anything he wants so he doesn't understand what its like to be in debt.

Let them serve their time, show they have rehabilitated themselves to a life without crime. Let them get a job just like everyone else and pay for their college. Why are we ENCOURAGING and REWARDING people for breaking the law

Young adults now struggle to pay their college bills and work very hard at low paying jobs just to stay afloat in the poor economy we have now. Why should we fund for criminals to have access to free college when we can't for people who have committed no crimes that's actually contribute the economy. It's pretty sad that since this came out it has made me consider committing a crime for free college education. USE YOUR HEAD
Please don't allow this free college for inmates to go through!
