The amount of loans I am amassing to complete my college education while working over 50 hours a week with two jobs is difficult enough. To then see this abhorring proposal and ask for my tax dollars to contribute when $5000 per inmate is even higher then I am allowed to deduct from my federal taxes for what I have paid into my tuition is insulting. Maybe I have to be incarcerated to see my tax dollars at work.

College grads who aren't convicts can't find jobs! Train them for the job market-carpenters, plumbers, welders, electricians, etc. I paid for my kids education, I don't want to pay for criminals. I don't think it would help them.

my kids have to pay for their college educations and earn their scholarships, we don't get a free education. let prisoners who want a degree & work for their education go thru the student loan process & pay their high interest loans for 10-20 yrs just like every other college student!
