Rehabilitation fine. college education NO. Why are public schools suffering financially, why are middle class hard working law abiding citizens struggling to put our children through college? For just once NY needs to help the people that work hard and obey the laws instead of everyone else. NO! Do not let this pass.

With state funding for public schools being cut and middle income families trying to pay student loans and graduates trying to pay off their student loans? People who break the law should not be rewarded. What them to be productive members of society teach them a trade, teach them to be responsible for their own actions.

As an honorably discharged veteran of 7 years service and a hard working, law abiding NYer, Gov Cuomo has slapped our faces too many times, first he violates our constitutional rights and now this, he MUST be voted out of office!!!! Cuomo, you should be managing a burger king!!!!

NYS tax dollars should be returned in services to those who paid taxes. Criminals have most likely already benefited through social services and public defenders.

Absolutely not. they are being punished for a crime, why reward them. law abiding citizens cant afford to go to college and obtain a degree. why would a criminal be entitled this for free on the tax payors dollar. we should be rewarding people for being upstanding citizens not for being a criminal.

I think that this petition speaks for itself so I will keep my comments to myself... As my mother told me, if I don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

How about making funds available for us that are working minimum wage jobs trying to make ends meet, so that we can go to college to get a better job to support our families!

the government needs to reward the hard working class, not the criminals and thugs who live off the prison system.

when all the middle class kids get free college then we can talk about college for prisoners - we never reward theoes that do the right thing and play by the rules - our kids are in their 30's married with children and still paying off their college loans. These same criminals had the opportunities to finish high school, a part time job and take out loans (like the rest of us) to continue their education - they chose not to - many are to busy quitting school and having a god time - we need to make people responsible for their actions - not coddle them and reward them - this has got to stop

Prisioners get free when kids are working minimum wage jobs to pay for their own education. Then the Gov. has the balls to suggest their tax money should be used to pay for poor underprivelaged, misunderstood criminals. NOT A CHANCE
