Considering companies rarely still pay extra for staff working on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, just harsh to extend their hours too! It's not needed either.

Working in retail is a hard job. I refuse to work full hours on a Sunday. Where's our day of rest!?

It's bad enough shops are open bank holidays. People that work in retail have the right to have a life too.
Extending Sundays hours is driven by greed. Nothing else.

I'm a manager in retail and we already work enough hours. I'm on a 45 hour contract and my job is already hard enough!
