I still have faith that Tamil being the oldest written and spoken language in the world, has the ability to change the world we live in now. In my opinion, by adopting DLP, we are only trying to belittle the language, as many parents and students will have option or driven towards abondoning Tamil in other subjects. Stop treating the language as to only identify your root. It is more than that. It is a very rich and powerful language that has survived long in many diciplines and un-deniably, many foreign scholars has and still trying to learn and understand our tamil written literatures to benefit the content. Tamil schools in Malaysia has a long history and changes needed, not to its language option, but to the mindset of some poor self centered pupil who feels that English will entirely take them to the next level. Face the challenge mastering both the languages by not letting down the Tamil as the mainstream language in Tamil school. This is certainly not the solution and i am hereby strongly standing against the DLP campaign. Vazhga Tamil, Vazharga Tamil, andrum, indrum, yendrum, un kural uurrakke olikettum!!!!
