If I wanted a Greenwich Police Force, I would live in Greenwich. If I wanted a Woolwich Police Force, I would live in Woolwich. I live in Bexley, and I want a Bexley Police Force.

Our police in Sidcup have had there motor vehicle taken away and have to now catch a bus. I didn't believe it either until I saw them at a bus stop. Can you imagine them forgetting their bus passes and a jobsworth bus driver coming along? "Sorry mate, more than my job's worth to let you on without a bus pass". Policeman: "but I have to get to Bexley, there's a robbery taking place.......

Another great idea, what next. If we needed the police I can just imagine how long we would have to wait if this goes ahead. I say no to this.

This plan it utterly ridiculous. Local police know their patch and response time can be fast. Having someone come from the other side of the area does not make sense. Another foolhardy plan from the Mayor of London!

This is a hypocritical petition. The cuts in policing are being caused by Theresa May, Amber Rudd and Nick Hurd. Because they are reducing the amount of money given to the police, which in turn forces the commissioner and the mayor to make the cuts due to a severely depleted budget. Cuts have consequences. This government is wholly responsible for this. All the facts clearly show this, yet the government is ignoring all evidence. If you conservatives want tho stop this, then start shouting very loudly at those persons in your party who are responsible for this terrible and dangerous situation

This is spreading the number of police too far and too much load on 1 Commander.

What is this man doing? It can only be money or power which makes him change everything for changes sake. If the police are worried we should be bloody terrified!!

We in Bexley need our own police force, you cannot combine police forces just to save money, the need and common sense go beyond that . Sadly the Mayor cannot see it

When will they learn that small, local Police units work much better?

I think it’s terrible they want to do this it’s hard enough to get in touch with the police at the best of times.

I feel if this goes ahead it will have a massive impact on our area of Sidcup and Bexley. But not in a good way

Leave our police alone they are needed in Bexley tell the mayor if he needs more police to stop making cuts and employ more police for the areas that needs them.
