This will result in lower levels of policing in Bexley, thus attracting criminal activity into the borough.

Disgusting act of a rogue Mayor out to further his own prestige. We have managed to control crime in Bexley it hasn't happened by accident, now to suit some usurper we are going to be thrown to the wolves of Greenwich and Lewisham.

As someone working in the criminal justice system I can only say this is perverse and will lead to more delays and costs.

After complaining of cuts under previous administration, for the mayor to do this seems hypocritical at best.

With the increased number of burglaries in the Bexley borough this is set to soar if they cut Bexley and merge with Lewisham & Greenwich #enoughisenough

As a former police officer who worked Lewisham, Bexley and Greenwich I can say this is a formula for disaster. Police units will be all over the place and swamped by calls with huge distances to travel between calls.

So many robberies has taken place recently and this is just going to get worse if they go ahead with this plan. Residents don’t feel safe in their own homes any more

This is a ludicrous idea, he distance between Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham is untenable to police, This is a ridiculous proposal.

MOL has far too much power - first shutting police stations and now closing Police Teams. No MOL should be in charge of our Emergency Services or other such budgets.

Bexleyheath needs the police station. We have so much trouble in this borough. No wonder we no longer feel safe. Stop cutting costs and keep the police in the area. We all pay council tax so why keep making the cuts?

This is ridiculous! how absured...we need our police, what on earth are you doing? This will never work and people will be afraid to leave their homes or take the law into their own hands! You spend millions of a stupid bridge and decide against it.. You have wasted tax payers money on that bridge, and now decide to cut back on the police...you need to step down Mr Khan...step aside for someone who will not only do the job properly, but actually care about the people of this country

with the rise in violent crime, burglaries, anti-social behaviour and a general increase in lawlessness in the area, you should be looking at doubling Police resources in the borough not cutting capacity, you should be ashamed of yourself, public safety should be your No 1 priority.
