WE DON'T HAVE TO PLACE A STATUE OF CRISTOBAL COLON IN MY ISLAND WHEN THIS MAN SAILED IN OUR BORDERS TO BENEFIT HIMSELF AND THE KING AND QUEEN FROM SPAIN. HE BROUGHT ILLNESSES, ABUSED THE TAINOS, AND LOT OF MY INDIANS CONTRACTED VENEREAL DESEACES ..HELL NO HE DOESN'T DESERVE THIS BUT ( ONLY ) MY ANCESTORS THE TAINO INDIANS..

There are more deserving role models in Puerto Rican history that could be honored with a statue, than a man that nearly erased a whole culture and tribe for material and social gain.
