@Alexis Soto, yo puedo comprender que la Historia que enseñan en el sistema escolar, sea la única que conozcas, ya que esa ha sido moldeada como plasticina. El rechazar esta estatua, no es solo, "porque un dia llegó al Caribe confundido y pues; ¿qué se va a hacer?" Sus acciones van mucho más allá. Colón inició tortura, esclavitud, VIOLACIONES, tráfico humano, saqueo, etc. no solo al indígena, sino a todo aquél que tambien entre los suyos le llevara la contraria. ~~ En los Estudios de Genocidio de la Universidad de Yale, una de las más prestigiosas de todo Estados Unidos, se estudian entre otros: Cristóbal Colón y Juan Ponce de León.

Jaja , estan mordidos, sera una atraccion turistica en Arecibo, si fuera por sus argumentos el ser humano tendria que haberse quedado en Africa, que culpa tiene Colon de haber encontrado a America , de hecho no se entero nunca que era un nuevo continente

Nunca entenderé porque homenajean a un hombre que asesinó a nuestros tainos. Muchos dicen que el descubrió a nuestra isla Borikén, e incluso le cambio el nombre a Puerto Rico. Colón era un hombre sin corazón. Vino en busca de su verdadero Dios (el oro), mató a nuestros ancestros y todavía le rinden homenaje a ese falsante. Que tumben la estatua que estan haciendo en Arecibo.

History has been manipulated to favor the invader. This same history is still taught in our schools. However, this is the age of information. We must educate people on the side of Columbus that is very different from what people have been told up to the present. As more and more people learn, statues are coming down and holidays are being changed. He represents more than a genocidal figure in history. He represents the genocide, etnocide, rape , torture, pillaging, human trafficking, abuse, of many peoples, not just my Taino ancestors, but of all Indigenous Peoples in this hemisphere. Africans and afro-descendants, women, even some of his own kind who were against his own doings and they paid the price as well. I do not want my island nor my people to be mocked as being so colonized as to continue glorifying the same one who brought oppression in such a way that to this day, we suffer the consequences!.
