SAY NO TO CO-EXISTING WITH COYOTES ON ISLE OF PALMS

I'm from Southern California and we are fighting for the same thing here. I wish you all the best with solving your coyote problem. This issue has gone way to far. In the city I live in we recently had a resident pass away in their home leaving the back door open and coyotes dismembered his body.....

I would like to see the city to enforce overgrown lots and along the golf course on the outside of the Wild Dunes gates along Waterway Blvd.

I have read the informative article about coyotes. It pretty much confirmed my feelings about them. Like wild dogs, they travel in packs when there is a significant number and that is when the situation will get out of control. They are already getting bolder with sightings during the day and don't think I should have fears walking in my own neighborhood. This is not their natural habitat, and they should be removed ASAP. Animal rights activists will scream about destroying them, but give no thought to animals already being decimated by them, example deer & turtle nests, and don't even mention pets & real danger to children

NOW IS THE TIME! Let's not wait for human injury and or death!

Being without a cat or dog I have mixed feelings because coyotes do feed on mice and rats.

My neighbor lost both of their cats last week....what will it take? A child??

I have many friends on the IOP and they are afraid to let their animals out. Also, they are afraid to go out at night.

Loss of pets is a tragic aspect of dealing with the coyotes. Time to take action before human injuries or attacks occur.

We have seen multiple coyotes around our home in Wild Dunes. We agree this issue needs to be proactively addressed before someone is harmed.

When I reached out to IOP regarding the recent likelihood that my cat was destroyed by the previously seen coyotes on forest trail, I was told they were part of the natural habitat like the alligators and deer . I try not to swim in the golf ponds as much as possible and have yet to be attacked by a herd of deer or pack of bunnies, squirrels , possums , raccoons, or turtles

Take a lesson from Florida who balked at controlling feral pigs and ball pythons. Be proactive.

It's time to make a decision.......do you want to protect PEOPLE or wild animals???? It's a no brainier

Coyotes are over populated and not native to this area. They are a threat to small animals and people. Coyotes are changing the natural environment of the low country.

I just moved here and am questioning the decision because of the coyotes. My cats went outside before we came to IOP and now I am so afraid one will sneak by me and get killed. I am not sure why there is no wildlife management plan for these predators.

Coyotes are not part of the habitat and need to be destroyed.

Coyotes have got to be taken care of by trapping or shooting them!
