Stop dog Discrimination! this will not solve anything. These dogs are so smart and loveable companions. I will Never trade my pit for the world!

Banning a dog breed is discriminatory and does not work. In Ontario they put in place a ban in 2005 and since then the amount and severity of dog bites has in fact increased. Dogs are not pet but family members and to take away a family member from a family is completely cruel and unethical. Pitbulls are great dogs, they are loyal to their families, love people and everyone should have one. You don't punish the innocent for the bad actions of some, this applies to humans as well as our wonderful animals.

I have a pit bull and he is the best dog I could ever have. Banning them will NOT solve the problem.

Precious animal friends are being killed, because of prejudice and a media frenzy and because of people who take advantage of the innocent it is the owners of the few aggressive dogs that are at fault not the breed

I've had pit bulls in all my life! My cousin has a pit bull and a chow chow and as I child it was the chow chow that jet biting everyone. It bit 4 kids before they decided to euthanize it.
Also my husband was disfigured by a Labrador as a 4 year old. They had to stitch his nose back to his face.
The point is any dog can bite!

Just like a human baby, No animal is born aggressive. They are taught to be agressive. If you teach an animal to love then they will love, if your mean and agressive, then they will learn to hate, be mean and agressive.
You should interview all the owners and keep an eye on them, go and give surprise visits every six months, in order to see exactly what type of people they really are.

I wonder what would happened if it was a white french person who commited that crime. Good thing it wasn't, otherwise every white french person would get banned. (All races and species apply)
