the city council voted against the rezoning so the plans for those townhomes are officially dead. im honestly blown away by how much this community stepped up to protect our neighborhood. we still need to keep an eye on what happens with that lot but for now we won.

There is no need for this kind of rezoning / tree decimation / increase in asphalt and run off. The rezone does not keep in the character of the neighborhood, and needs to be denied categorically.
I am completely against the request for rezoning. I live off of Caldwell and there is already too much traffic on Caldwell. This will makes it worse! There is already excessive building going on in our neighborhood and replacing a home with 6 townhomes is a terrible idea! .
Seems to me this property is more suited for single family homes and not townhouses. One of the things that's most disturbing is that the purchaser has made an assumption that they will be able to manipulate the zoning board into allowing the variance.
Ashford Park is a neighborhood of single family homes and should stay that way. Townhomes are inappropriate per the B-P Overlay District Guidelines. This could just as easily be a developed as a single family home.
This is a single-family home neighborhood, and should remain that way. Keep the high-density to Peachtree if you must! It is unfair to all those surrounding neighbors to destroy the quaint street they paid top-dollar to live on.
This would be crazy.

This is not better for the community overall, it only represents one entity's desire to profit at the expense of many.
