I say no to this bill because Radiography is a profession on its own all over the world while Radiology is an area of specialization in medicine. The bill is also a duplication of Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria Act (word for word)

The bill if passed into law will have negative impact on the health sector.

Radiographers' board is a professional body for Radiographers and should be independent in other to help develop the profession. It progressed decades ago from being a diploma to a degree programme. Thus, the profession should not be subjected under the rules of an equivalent degree programme such as medicine. In addition, other countries have their Radiographers' board independent of other professional bodies, so it would be obsolete for a growing profession like radiography to be merged with radiology (which already is associated with the Medical council) in Nigeria.

We need to fight to keep our profession to the professionals encroachment of other medical practitioners will bastardize the work we do to save lives as radiographers

Radiology, radiographer and medical physicist are different proffesion regulated already by MDCN, RRBN and medical physicist board respectively already. No need for additional regulatory body.

No to the obnoxious bill. Is a duplicate and plagiarism of the existing RRBN Act. The bill should be killed and the RRBN Act amended and expanded to accommodate all perceived omissions.

This bill will be counterproductive in health care delivery as it will erode inter- professional collaboration required for provision of high quality and efficient patient care. Health care delivery involves team work and each professional entity should be accorded required recognition for mutual trust and peaceful coexistence.
