This is professional encroachment. Radiography is a profession but Radiology is a subspecialty in medicine.

Radiology is not a profession but an arm of Medicine. Their regulatory body is Nigerian medical and Dental council (MDCN). Radiography is a profession and is regulated by Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, RRBN. The bill will cause undue DUPLICATION AND AVOIDABLE CLASHES/UNNECESSARY ECONOMIC BURDEN ON OUR LEAN RESOURCES.
This is purely a breach of professional autonomy as a profession does not regulate the activities of another profession.

The bill must be stopped. It is an acts to perpetually subdue and dominate radiography profession by the so called jobless radiologist. Medical radiography and radiological profession must be given autonomy.
