If you live, work, worship or take kids to school along Highway 463 or 22 in Madison, MS, your safety and quality of life are at stake. On April 15, 2013, the Madison County Board of Supervisors approved a zoning exception allowing 40 acres of gravel and dirt mining near the Intersection of Highway 463/22 in Madison County, MS. This action will put an additional 50,000+ dirt and gravel dump trucks on your highway running from 6am to 7pm Monday through Saturday. This will be an astronomical increase in the number of dump trucks on the highway with you and your family as they travel by the entrances to your neighborhoods, churches and the six schools located on Highway 463 for four years. If as a Madison County taxpayer and homeowner, you agree that unleashing 50,000 more dump trucks on a highway with neighborhoods, churches and six schools is not only poor judgment, but potentially dangerous, then let the Madison County Board of Supervisors know by signing this petition.
