I think it's a shame that Noblesville High school won't say the names of those that lost their lives while in school. Can't comprehend the harm in it at all. It would give friends and family close to Avrey a peace of mind. I seriously think they should reconsider this!

Why wouldn't they call his name? That's absurd! As someone else suggest there should also be an empty chair with cap and gown. Possibly even a parent or sibling accepting diplomal

I not only think they should call his name, but they should also have an empty chair with his cap and gown folded neatly in it. This would be a proper recognition of his hard work.

Avrey was my teammate in baseball for years and was in more than a few of my classes throughout high school. He was a really great guy and I have a lot of great memories with him. He more than earned his diploma. The least Noblesville Schools can do is announce his name at graduation like the rest of us. Let's see if NHS will finally do the right thing.

I've gone to school with Avrey since kindergarten and he and his family deserve this as much as anyone else. With a graduating class of 600+ people it's not that hard to read one more name.
