To the Motion Picture Television Fund Board of Directors: We, the undersigned concerned citizens and members of the Entertainment Industry, strongly urge you to immediately REVERSE YOUR DECISION TO CLOSE THE LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY AT THE MOTION PICTURE TELEVISION HOME. Many industry workers have contributed to the MPTF throughout their careers with the expectation that this all-important safety net would remain in place and its now 88-year-old mission to "take care of our own" would continue as promised for our generation and those that follow. We are also concerned about the adverse effects this threatened closure is having on the elderly residents of this nursing home and their families -- including the INCREASED DEATH RATE of both residents and transferees. It's not too late. For the sake of these elderly residents' lives and those who need this facility in the future, KEEP THE MPTF NURSING HOME OPEN!

Saving the Lives of Our Own: We are a grass-roots coalition of MPTF long-term care residents, their families, Entertainment Industry workers and community members. Our mission is to keep the MPTF long-term care facility open, to stop the evictions of its elderly residents and to ensure that the MPTF promise of “Taking Care Of Our Own” remains unbroken – now and for future generations.
