I have spent the last few days drafting a formal proposal for the climate committee to review. My office is currently coordinating with policy experts to ensure our demands are backed by verifiable data before we request a meeting with the department head.

The volume of support has now reached a point where we can secure a formal meeting with the oversight committee. My team is currently finalizing the briefing documents to ensure our policy recommendations remain the primary focus of that discussion.

For God's Sake PMs & MPs, just do something. You're the ones in charge 'for the good of the people', you can't do any good for the people if they have no world to live in. Make it worth the people's while to elect and trust you. As it is, very little has been done and people are getting tired of trusting and waiting for promises to be carried out; they are losing faith. At least think about what needs doing. STOP IGNORING IT!
I've been protesting for 5 months and the government has barely done anything other than "declare climate emergency" then pat themselves on the back
Politicians need to consider the effects of their actions for the LONG term on our planet
As a good first step to stopping global warming I will join the petition. (However, many more statements and more meaningful actions need to be taken to create a change.)
Well done for getting this petition started. I agree completely. This is an urgent matter concerning the future of human survival on our planet. Governments are often too concerned with their popularity concerning business/finance/the economy to take on the really important stuff.

The world's actually just melting and getting uncomfortably hot and all sorts of bad stuff. The UK's carbon emissions are pretty huge and the quicker we can do something about it, the better- Because we're running out of time. #12yearstomakeachange
