I am both a teacher and a conservationist. Land like this can not be recovered and water sheds HAVE to be preserved for the health of our children and grandchildren, downstream. Also, if we do not protect our aquatic life, our grandchildren will not know what seafood or untreated water is.

Lifelong Silver Spring Twp. resident - STOP THIS OVER-DEVELOPMENT!!!! (with no additional services for residents) - how about a twp swimming pool? or appropriate commercial additions? - no gym, no movie theater, etc.... just CAR DEALERSHIPS and sports fields used only by a small percentage of residents! How about building a school on one of the many sports fields?

Cumberland Valley officials and the people who have elected them should be ashamed of this legal maneuver for land grab. We will all be checking our easement language.

The farm is an oasis for travelers to stop and walk and learn history and picnic as well as for agricultural education - save it

Taking the McCormick property is a poor decision by the school board because the land has been preserved and by condemning the land it is impacting on other farmers desiring to preserve their land and fearing to have it taken after preservation, it is being a poor role model for its students and it's taking tax money for a project that is only a potential in the distant future. Having just built two schools CV doesn't have the financial ability to construct more.
