Saving the Historical McCormick Farmland from Condemnation

I grew up there, graduated from CVHS but just find out my mothers family settled in central PA in the early 1700s. We need to make people more aware of our rich heritage!

No one will agree to conservation if all it does is lower the price paid for the land when it is taken by eminent domain. No one from the farm is going to school. It was to be saved for everyone, not ruined by more building. Make existing sites more efficient instead.

If there is land for sale across from the high school that Hempt Bros are selling .. buy it. CV has already taking land from property owners off Lambs Gap Rd. Shame on CV.

I am a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and our family has lived here since 1980. This is wrong. This doesn’t need to happen given there is a ‘FOR SALE’ sign across the street from the high school. Hempt Bros. Is selling 44 acres.

Please keep this historic farm intact and do not steal the land. Shame on you, Cumberland Valley School District.

There are other options, they can build up as an option but they should not take the land.

I live in silver spring township and I value our green space. It is disappearing!!! Preserve this land.

Eminent domain needs to stop. Especially when it involves preserving farm land. Build a 3 story school on your own land.

I reside in Silver Spring township and am a resident in the Cumberland Valley school district.

This is getting out of control. Disappointed in the district.

There is other land that can be bought.

Reside in Mechanicsburg. Middlesex is family historic so we have an interest in county wide preservation.

I'm a resident of Dillsburg (specifically Carroll Township). I believe that the unsustainable growth and development currently occurring in Cumberland Valley and Mechanicsburg School Districts will eventually spillover into Northern York, Carlisle, and West Shore School Districts if not curbed. Condemning this land tract will only facilitate such a process.

Just because it’s convenient doesn’t make it morally correct. Please explore other avenues. Long-time Carlisle resident, now a resident of South Middleton township.
