I have been overwhelmed by the messages from neighbors who remember walking this track when they were children. It is your memories and your passion for this history that keep me pushing forward with the cleanup plans.

a railway company that was not included in to british railways in 1948 is probably unique, l will support this endeavour.
I visited the railway several times before the closure, in fact I managed to cycle to Corringham station to witness the last train from my home (then) in Southgate, North London. I also did some early research into the history of the Railway Company and have written several articles which were published in the Historical Model Railway Society (HMRS) Journal. Very best wishes to those concerned in the possible aquidision of the track bed at Corringham. Peter J Wilde, Mansfield, Notts.
Lived and grew up in fobbing and corringham, spent many a night camping out on the marshes......and we need to protect and keep our heritage.........look forward to your walk on the 5th jan.....
This a very worth while project with connections to many people whose past family rode on this railway to work at Coryton.
Sounds like a great idea Worked at Shell for 25 years-1966 to 1991.In early days cycled from Iron Latch to Fobbing on way back home from Shell. My Nan used railway to work at Kynochs. Walked trackbed some years ago (1990's I think) Spoke to man living off Fobbing road who used to travel the line to work-told me a few tales! Have one or two books on the railway. Best of luck.
would be nice to see some record of the line retained

This line is one of the few remaining bits of the industrial history left in this area.
