I went here after failing at East. I went when it was South Alternative n graduated in 1997. I drop in 96 when I had my baby. I returned after to finish when Jim Carnahan took time to find me rides to n from school. A lot has changed but for a lot of studenta n mothers that all we gave left to turn too. This is part of Education u are taking from these young children. There's another way. There has to be.

I attended Scavo. I dropped out of Lincoln because I was having problems at home and I was 16 and pregnant. Scavo allowed me to bring my baby to school with me. I failed out of Lincoln and left Scavo in gifted and talented and in Oddity of the mind program. I was able to move on and get my G.E.D.

Keep scavo open, my daughter supposed to graduate, but if u close it she will not graduate, my daughter is already going through, my wife n I r separated n soon divorced, please don’t punish my daughter, she’s been through enough!!!!!

Scavo really changed my life!! This school had taken me from a class of 20 some students, with one teacher who could care less, to a a loving, caring, motivated, educational system! If it wasn't for scavo, I would of dropped out and probably went the wrong path.

Being at Scavo has helped me gain confidence in myself and helped me get over my anxiety of asking for help in front of others. Without this school and it's teachers I would have failed regular high school because I wanted to give up and I wasn't even trying to do my work. Scavo really does work and it's soo important to soo many past and present students.

Scavo helped me a lot. The teachers and staff are amazing and cared deeply about my education. Scavo’s education system works way better than the other schools. I had no idea what I wanted to pursue for my career beyond high school and the staff cared enough to help me find something that would interest me. They cared about all the students. They helped with emotional issues, transportations, family issues and relationships. Every student felt safe while attending scavo. Students who are still working hard to finish school are going to feel discouraged to continue on. Scavo is doing more than just educating the students. Scavo is home for most of these students. Please understand that shutting the school won’t be a good idea.

Hello, I am a student who struggled in my normal high school setting. I got told I wouldn’t graduate but then scavo came into my life the people who run and help kids have made me aspire to be the best I can. I am now enrolled into college on my second semester and thriving. If it weren’t for scavo I would never be where I am today!!

Scavo helped me in so many ways! I was unmotivated and not attending school, when arriving at scavo I met my advisor and she helped me throughout all my classes and motivated me to the point where I graduated a year early!
