Right now the Department of Philosophy at the University of Detroit Mercy is in very real danger of losing some of its exposure in the university's new core curriculum. Without this exposure we will lose access to potential majors and minors, and as a consequence we will be unable to offer the kinds of quality upper-division classes that have helped you understand the world more fully.

We, the undersigned, oppose any change to the university core at UDM that will result in a reduction of students' exposure to the study of philosophy.
