Animal euthanasia is a controversial topic among different groups. The issue is the elimination of a future for a healthy and adoptable buddy. In La county alone there are about 26,000 to 44,000 stray dogs alone. Additionally California and Texas euthanize more than 95,000 dogs and cats each year. Advancements so far have not been great either. The governor of California Gavin Newsom signed bill 596 also called Bowie's law.

Which was focused on a 3 month old puppy named Bowie that was supposed to be saved by an organization called Underdog Heroes Rescue, unfortunately Bowie was euthanized at Los Angeles County animal shelter before Underdog Heroes could rescue him. The bill was killed Thursday, May 18, through a process called the suspense file.

Signing this petition we are trying to tell shelters and the legislative that this in an important topic. That the lives of these innocent dogs and cats matter as much as any other.
