There are structural issues in Canadian capital markets (ie the proliferation of ETF's) that are inhibiting the direction of investment dollars to exploration and development in Canada. Every effort must be made by our governments to mitigate this issue, and this would be an excellent start to that.

Make Ontario the number one destination for mineral exploration dollars!

As many of you have, I have worked in exploration in both Ontario and Quebec and having the increased credit makes a huge difference on exploration projects and company spend. This will help drive projects in Ontario and in turn be better for the industry and the province.

It is important to the economy of Ontario that a strong exploration program be established for Ontario and people of Ontario. The raw material resources are so important to many communities.

Many Northern Ontario mines are reaching, or have reached, end of life, or are having to mine at depths, or grades that could be precarious to their economic viability should their product(s) suffer a downturn in market price. Many investors simply aren't aware of the capital required to replace depleted ore bodies and have decided other avenues of investment, such as cannabis. Ontario needs to return to its former position as a Province encouraging of investment and not one of stifling regulatory roadblocks.

At a time that the exploration industry is at its all time low any help we can give to the flow thru financing would be a great help to all aspects of the junior mining industry

We need to expand the exploration and mining development in Northern Ontario. Unfortunately we are falling behind in the area of Government support for the mineral industry with respect to Quebec and BC provincially and Australia, for example, nationally.

METC funding was crucial in order to advance our project to mine development (in progress). This new project will provide at least 350 new jobs for over 12 years in an established northern Ontario mining district that is facing declining production. Increasing the METC to match other provinces will level the playing field and drive further similar developments.

Lets find some new mines in Ontario! The potential is there, we just need the funds and cooperation to get going.

I whole heartedly support this initiative; it is long overdue and will bring new money into grass-roots exploration projects in Ontario. Please do the right thing and makes these long-needed changes.

I agree that an increase in refundable METC would allow Ontario explorers to be more competitive .

I HAVE A NUMBER OF HIGH PROFILE MINERAL EXPLORATION PROPERTIES IN ONTARIO. MINING COMPANIES FROM OTHER PROVINCES ARE NOT INTERESTED IN INVESTING IN THEM AT A 5% METC, WHEN THEY CAN INVEST IN OTHER PROVINCES FOR A 25% AND HIGHER METC. WE CANNOT COMPETE BECAUSE OF THIS DISPARITY.

Setting the Ontario METC at 25% will drive the Provinces return to its former long-held status as the most favorable jurisdiction in the world for mineral exploration investment. By encouraging Ontario tax payers to invest at home we can stimulate the new discoveries that will underpin our economy and standard of living for generations.

Help stop the exodus of Exploration dollars out of Ontario and provide solutions for existing miners and juniors.

Mining is one of the few industries where we have a competitive advantage globally. one can not move a deposit to another country. But adverse and punitive tax and regulatory policies can sent our expertise and capital to more welcoming countries overseas. It should be an imperative of our provincial and federal governments to ensure this industry remains vibrant and profitable in order to attract domestic and foreign capital. It is a industry with very high paying jobs relative to most industries in Canada and the assets can be long life. I ask that you not ignore this important source of employment, taxes and export dollars!
