Saving Glenbrook: Stop the Subdivisions, Save the Neighborhood
The residents of the community of Glenbrook in the City of Stamford, Connecticut fullysupport the residents of Lenox Avenue in opposition tothe overdevelopment of our community by developers looking to profit at the expense of our quality of life and our property values.
We are requesting that the Zoning Board of Appeals DENY and REJECT ZBA Application #016-14, which seeks to sub divide the property to make way for a new dwelling.
The Glenbrook community is comprised of historic homes, and is currently in the process of being reviewed for designation in the National Register of Historic Places. The proposed subdivision will change the landscape of the neighborhood, andare collectivelyconcerned that establishing this precedent will lead to similar activity throughout the neighborhood.
Glenbrook isn't a neighborhood filled with closely parceled dwellings or cluster homes. The Residents call upon the members of the Zoning Board of Appeals to step up as guardians of our great neighborhood, and not allow the outside interests of a single developer dictate its future.
